Description
Bright and juicy. Supple tannins. Balanced finesse. This Pinot Noir got its start in the Jory Hills vineyard in the Dundee Hills, where red volcanic “Jory” soils bring out bright red fruit and savory notes in grapes. Smell and taste black cherry, raspberry, sarsaparilla (aka, root bear), black tea, and baking spices. Match this wine with tonight’s dinner of BBQ ribs or grilled chicken, rosemary potatoes and corn on the cob. You're welcome!
The Jory Hills Vineyard on the WillaKenzie Estate is located within the Dundee Hills AVA, a sub-appellation in the northcentral Willamette Valley. Dundee Hills is known for producing fruit-driven Pinot Noirs of great intensity, and this wine is a true reflection of its origin. The 2016 vintage in the Willamette Valley was marked by a moderate, dry growing season that resulted in wines with supple tannins and balanced finesse. Notes of black cherry, raspberry, sarsaparilla, black tea, and baking spice.
