Grown in gravelly benchland soils off Mt. Saint Helena in Knights Valley, the Helena Bench Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is fermented in oak barrels and concrete eggs resulting in a wine with crispness, minerality and refined acidity. Notes of white peach, melon and fennel dazzle with lime zest and white flowers all the way through the finish.
About Matanzas Creek
Located in the remote and breathtakingly beautiful Bennett Valley region of Sonoma County, Matanzas Creek Winery built its reputation on Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot, and produces limited quantities of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Bordeaux-style reds. The winery's estate vineyards are sustainably farmed and scattered across Sonoma County, from the cool coast to the inland valleys. In addition to its wines, Matanzas Creek is famous for its spectacular lavender gardens which bloom in early-June.
