While known for its reputation as one of Napa Valley’s original Cabernet Sauvignon producers, Freemark Abbey makes darn delicious Malbec too. Lush blueberry and blackberry aromas pop from the glass, followed by a potpourri of forest floor, cinnamon, clove, cedar and black pepper. Black cherry fruit flavors with notes of licorice and espresso follow. A balanced, rich wine that is wonderful for taking a moment for yourself to contemplate.
