Description

Hickinbotham Vineyard is situated on the high elevation hills of Clarendon, a sub-region along the northern edge of McLaren Vale in South Australia. Supple and refined, this Shiraz reflects the region's temperate climate in its elegance and finesse. Muddled blackberries, white pepper and bergamot aromas and flavors shine, while velvety tannins frame the long finish. Although readily enjoyable, Brooks Road has the structure to ensure decades of cellaring.

This red wine displays aromas of sweet blueberry and rich red fruits that interlace with notes of clove and menthol. The palate is expansive but pure finesses with a beautifully balanced acidity leading to a silky finish.

RECENT TASTING NOTES
Deep crimson-purple; a very complex wine, all the components handled with the skill of a circus juggler, keeping all in the air. Its extreme fragrance and intensity on the palate have a lightness to their touch, with spiced red and black fruits, licorice and fine tannins, oak the (almost) unseen hand.
