Alexander Valley is filled with a diverse array of soils rich in iron-based volcanic rock, gravel, sand and clay and comprised mainly of mountains, ridges, hillsides and benchlands. The Kendall-Jackson Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from mountain fruit, resulting in refined tannins and a bone dry structure that is brightened with notes of blackberry, black currant, graphite and herbs. Blended with a little Petit Verdot for complexity and richness, it drinks beautifully now, and will age for a decade or longer.
Kendall-Jackson is the benchmark of excellence in family-owned California winemaking. When Jess Jackson crafted his first Chardonnay in 1982, his goal was to create a wine with integrity and an unwavering commitment to quality—a wine that’s exclusive, yet for everyone. Three decades later, many consider Kendall-Jackson to be “America’s Favorite,” and their Vintner’s Reserve Chardonnay has been the #1 selling Chardonnay in America since 1992.
