A classic expression of Chianti, made from mainly Sangiovese with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon. There is a deep intensity to this wine with a beautiful dark color and bold flavors of violets, plums, cherries, orange peel, earth, licorice, cedar and smoke.
About Tenuta di Arceno
Located in the southernmost commune of Chianti Classico, Tenuta di Arceno is an ancient Tuscan estate dedicated equally to the production of Sangiovese and international varieties. The estate produces three Chianti Classico DOCG wines centered on the native Sangiovese, and three Toscana IGT wines celebrating its international varieties, led by Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Under the leadership of Winemakers Pierre Seillan and Lawrence Cronin, the estate was one of the first in the region to employ a micro-cru approach to viticulture and winemaking, sub-dividing the 220-acre estate into 60 blocks, each farmed and harvested individually to yield its highest quality expression.
