
Sourced from a block of 50-year old vines in the iconic Katherine's Vineyard that set the stage for Winemaker Greg Brewer to create this Chardonnay in the most unaltered, skeletal and vulnerable manner possible. Crafted at low temperatures using only small stainless-steel tanks, diatom's restrained winemaking style reflects the cool weather, oceanic soils and plentiful sunshine of the Santa Maria Valley. Citrus blossom, green apple and lime zest burst through the glass with sea spray and crushed oyster minerality with a finish that lasts for minutes.
