Description

Monterey's famed Santa Lucia Highlands are best known for producing hedonistic, rich pinot noir with lots of intrigue. This blend of several stellar vineyards doesn't disappoint, exhibiting black plum, baked cherry pie and dried herbs in the nose. The palate pulls you in with its rich texture, offering layers of dark fruit and spice, culminating in a lengthy finish bound for BBQ and duck breast alike.

This red wine has aromas of cranberry, raspberry, clay, and nori. Weighty tannin up front, followed by bright acidity and tart cherry and dark fruit complement the juicy texture of the mid-palate.

RECENT TASTING NOTES
Savory and floral, the 2022 Pinot Noir (Santa Lucia Highlands) is every bit as composed as it is year after year, especially considering the stress of the growing season. Black raspberry, black sage and exotic spice tones introduce this neatly proportioned Pinot, finishing with a waft of dusty rose petals. There's so much to like. It's always exciting to pick up this much character in an appellation-level wine.
