Through the Gestures of Excellence programm, Maison Henriot strives to share knowledge of the artistic professions through unique know-how, guided by a common objective: to share passion and emotion. That know-how is currently embodied by Alice Tétienne, their Cellar Master.

Alliance Terroirs
A value treasured by Maison Henriot since its creation
Champagne region includes a wide range of terroirs, created by different vineyard exposures, slopes, soil tones, people involved in the vineyard, and even cultivation practices. All this contributes to the richness of the Champagne vineyards. From the moment she founded the Maison, Apolline Henriot’s ambition was to tell the story of the vineyard’s beauty. Since Apolline, several generations of the Henriot family have received training as agricultural engineers. They have all contributed to developing the family’s expertise and strengthening the care it gives to the vines. The Alliance Terroirs project, initiated in 2020, is a continuation of this. The project is split into three themes: understanding the terroirs, adapting viticultural practices to each terroir, and ensuring the sustainability of Champagne.
Alice Tétienne
Cellar Master at Maison Henriot
Hailing from Champagne, Alice Tétienne quickly expresses her passion for viticulture, aiming to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the vineyards. Holder of a BTS in Viticulture and Enology, a Bachelor's degree in Vine Science, and a Master's in Vine and Terroir, she collaborates throughout her studies with various wine estates and research centers, thus developing expertise in both practical and scientific aspects.
To promote and enhance the image of champagne, Alice Tétienne ventures into the field of communication, earning a Master's degree in Wines and Champagne. Subsequently, she focuses on oenology, obtaining the National Diploma of Oenologist, where she is distinguished with the award for oenological innovation and the prize for her thesis.
In 2014, Alice Tétienne joins the Centre Vinicole Nicolas Feuillatte, then moves to Maison Krug in 2015 as the Head Winemaker responsible for vineyard relations and a member of the tasting committee. Thus, Alice Tétienne gains comprehensive expertise in the production of Champagne wines, from raw material selection to blending.
In February 2020, Alice Tétienne is appointed Cellar Master and Vineyard Director at Maison Henriot, then Deputy General Manager in October 2023.

HVE: High Environmental Value (Level 3) - since 2019
HVE is a certification that seeks to minimise as much as possible the impact of farming practices on the environment (air, climate, water, soil, biodiversity, landscape).
VDC: Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne. - since 2021
The VDC certification guarantees commitment to sustainable development, preserving biodiversity and the terroirs of Champagne, enhancing the landscape, reducing the carbon footprint and responsible management of waste and by-products.
AB: Organic Agriculture - since January 2025
Organic agriculture favors natural cultivation methods that protect biodiversity, regenerate soils, and preserve the authentic expression of the terroir.
