For over 25 years, Siduri has specialized in producing cool-climate Pinot Noir from five major appellations along the West Coast, spanning from the Willamette Valley in Oregon, down to California’s Santa Barbara County. Their goal is to produce Pinot Noir that best captures the distinct flavor and character of a given vineyard site. To that end, they specialize in Pinot Noir and source only from vineyards that provide exceptional fruit. Siduri’s philosophy is that wine should be a pleasure to drink and that serious wine and serious fun aren’t mutually exclusive.
After a quarter century of making award-winning Pinot Noirs, Siduri has entered the Chardonnay space – Oregon Chardonnay to be precise. Sourced from three vineyards in Willamette Valley, this 91-point bottle is Siduri’s first Chardonnay and exemplifies why all eyes in the wine world right now are on Oregon Chardonnay. The wine has both bright acidity and a round texture from fermenting in a combination of stainless steel, concrete egg and barrel, with rigorous barrel stirring and sur lie aging. Get excited to savor its rich palate of Meyer lemon citrus, orange blossom and brioche notes with brisk, refreshing acidity that brings it all home. Welcome to Oregon Chardonnay!
Originally from Kentucky, Siduri Winemaker Matt Revelette fell in love with wine by working in vineyards during his summers as a college student. Matt found the process of winemaking the perfect marriage of art, science, and pleasure, and it has since been his main pursuit. His extensive experience includes some of the greats in the wine industry, where he developed his passion for Pinot Noir. As winemaker for Siduri, Matt is living out his dream of crafting single-vineyard and appellation expressions of Pinot Noir from esteemed vineyard sites along the West Coast, stretching from Santa Barbara, California to Willamette Valley, Oregon.
Raised a Southern Baptist in Austin, Texas, Adam Lee’s love affair with wine did not begin until after he graduated with a degree in history from Trinity University. After stints at both Austin Wine & Spirits and as a wine buyer for Neiman Marcus, his eyes and palate were opened to the great wines of the world, including his favorite Burgundies and California Pinot Noirs.
Adam moved to California, where he worked in a tasting room before taking the winemaking plunge: using every spare minute to learn as much as possible about growing grapes and making wine. In 1994, he founded Siduri Wines, named for the Babylonian goddess of wine, and produced the first Pinot Noir from the Rose Vineyard in Anderson Valley. Twenty-five years later, Adam has attained a cult-like following for Siduri Wines and a reputation as one of California’s top winemakers. His pursuit of Pinot Noir perfection has led to long-standing relationships with top growers in premier appellations along the West Coast. Today, Siduri produces over two dozen single-vineyard Pinot Noirs that capture the distinct flavor and character of each vineyard site.
