Ask someone to name some of their favorite Chardonnays from California, and we bet this wine will come up more often than not. Not only does it constantly score over 90 points and has a steal of price, this Sonoma Coast icon explodes with aromas and flavors. Apricot, lemon, gala apple, melon, subtle oak and spice are balanced perfectly with a rich texture and lingering finish.
About La Crema
The original name, La Crema Viñera, means “best of the vine,” setting the standard for this winery since 1979. From their home in the Russian River Valley, the best cool-climate growing regions in California are explored through the lens of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Here, the ocean winds and fog allow grapes to ripen slowly on the vine, developing complex flavors and aromas. Winemaker Craig McAllister utilizes boutique, time-intensive techniques to craft distinctively balanced and elegant wines.
