Stonestreet is a testament to the transcendant quality of mountain viticulture. Planted in the mountain above the Alexander Valley appellation, at 400 feet to 2,400 feet in elevation, the estate stands as one of the largest, most diverse mountain vineyards in the world. Here, at the limits of grape-growing, winemaker Kristina Shideler produces single vineyard estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay that demonstrate the wow factor and aging potential of wines made from high-elevation fruit. These intensely structured wines are sourced from only the finest blocks in the vineyard – a site that is on its way to becoming its own appellation, Pocket Peak. Stonestreet also produces single-vineyard wines that, together with their estate wines, paint a harmonious expression of the mountain in all its complexity.

Stonestreet is named after Jess “Stonestreet” Jackson, the winery's founder, who, along with his wife Barbara Banke, purchased the estate in 1995. Their vision was to defy the limits of California winegrowing and establish a world-class estate for generations to come. Today, the estate’s legacy continues under the leadership of Jess and Barbara’s youngest son, Chris Jackson and his wife, Ariel Jackson. Chris spent the first 20 years of his life on the mountain, which is where he first learned how to prune a vine. How cool is that?
