Cambria Estate Winery
Named a Top 100 Winery of 2020 by Wine & Spirits Magazine, Cambria Estate Winery lies in the cool, coastal ridges of Santa Maria Valley on California's Central Coast. The valley opens to the Pacific and funnels in what we call "refrigerated sunshine" – cold fog and wind that extend the ripening season and impart a beautiful texture to the wines. Barbara Banke and Jess Jackson’s daughters, Katie Jackson and Julia Jackson, who grew up among these vines, run the winery today. The family-owned and operated winery produces single vineyard, sustainably farmed, estate-grown and bottled, and exceedingly delicious Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, most notably from Katherine’s and Julia’s Vineyards.

When it comes to female talent, Cambria is crushing it! Katie Jackson and Julia Jackson run the winery with the help of general manager, Denise Shurtleff. Winemaker Jill Russell works closely with them to craft wines that showcase Santa Maria Valley’s terroir. Her inaugural vintage of Cambria Katherine’s Vineyard Chardonnay was recently selected as one of Wine Spectator’s Top 100 wines of 2019. Stewards of the Land
Cambria’s vineyard manager, Matt Mahoney, and vineyard director, Pat Huguenard, are native, long-time farmers of the Santa Maria Valley. With their extensive knowledge of the climate, soils, rootstocks and clones, they’re able to provide Jill with the purest, highest quality fruit for her sought-after wines. Cover crops, composting, water conservation, pest management and wildlife corridors are just several sustainable practices they implement to preserve the land for future generations.
